View Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Real World Data tool specific to mental health conditions?

Yes, the RWD tool and the underlying real-world dataset focuses on mental health conditions. It leverages the de-identified records of millions of mental health patients to provide insights about treatments provided for various mental health disorders.

How can healthcare providers access the Real World Data tool?

The Real World Data tool is available for all patients with PGx results available within your Tempus Hub.

What do you do with the data you obtain from my patients?

Your patient’s identifiable health information is protected in accordance with HIPAA requirements and kept confidential. De-identified data is used to improve the way mental health is diagnosed and treated. De-identified data may be used in research and in the development of new drugs, therapies, and analytical tools. For example, in the future, de-identified data from nP patients may be added to the RWD tool. Tempus’ notice of privacy practices is available here.

What data sources are used to compile the Real World Data tool?

The RWD tool allows queries of de-identified patient data from a United Kingdom database of electronic health records. The RWD tool also presents your patient’s PGx data in a searchable format, but your patient’s PGx data is separate from the de-identified data from patients in the United Kingdom.
