Going beyond pharmacogenomics (PGx) with whole exome sequencing and robust clinical data

The Tempus platform for personalized psychiatric care allows providers to easily track their patient’s progress over time and delivers deep molecular profiling on every patient. Our proprietary whole-exome panel allows us to deliver clinically actionable pharmacogenomic results while simultaneously generating data on all 20,000+ genes to begin drawing insights that go beyond pharmacogenomics.

In addition to our smart genetic test, the Tempus PRO™ app makes it seamless for patients to record their symptoms between appointments. With this valuable information, you can more easily track your patient’s response to treatment.

GETTING STARTED

How to order a Tempus test and enroll your patient in Tempus PRO™

All Tempus tests must be ordered by a healthcare provider. Collection kits to obtain a saliva sample can be sent to your clinic or can be shipped directly to patients. Our kits include easy-to-follow instructions and packaging for convenient and fast shipping to our lab.

Seeing patients remotely? Saliva collection kits can be sent directly to patients. And, the Tempus PRO™ app is a great option to collect information from patients remotely.

Learn more about the test and ordering process
  1. If you are a new Tempus customer, complete a requisition form online at order.securetempus.com. On the requisition form, indicate if you will be collecting a sample with the patient at the clinic or would like for a kit to be shipped to the patient.

  2. Patient completes the saliva collection and sends it back to Tempus via the included FedEx shipping label.

  3. Patient completes the consent form included in the collection kit or online at consent.securetempus.com.

  4. Sequencing results are typically returned to the provider in Tempus Hub within 10 days of Tempus’ receipt of the patient’s saliva sample. Providers will also be notified via email when results are available.

  5. Patients* are automatically invited to download the Tempus PRO™ mobile application and can begin completing assessments indicated on the requisition form or assigned by the provider in Tempus Hub. Once the patient begins completing assessments, the results will be visible to the provider in Tempus Hub.

  6. *The Tempus PRO™ mobile application is currently available to patients 13 years of age or older.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

Most patients pay $295 (our self-pay price) or less for testing. We feel it’s important to provide cost transparency so that your patient is not surprised by a bill from Tempus. As a result, Tempus will call or email any patient expected to owe more than $295 before proceeding with the test to discuss their payment options.

Tempus also has a financial assistance program to help provide access to our tests for patients in financial need. Through our program, applicants may qualify for their test to be fully covered and pay $0 out-of-pocket.
